At York District Hospital there is an emergency service for children and young people with acute and immediate need for treatment, a children's ward for both in-patient treatment and a designated day unit providing assessment and intervention between the hours of 9am - 8pm. The hospital also provides a range of services for disabled children at the Child Development Centre.
Referral for these services would normally be through a GP or health visitor. A discussion with your child or young person's consultant paediatrician would also be a route to some of these services.
The Paediatric Team can be contacted 24 hours a day.
