Family Learning

Micklegate Ward,

Family Learning courses are offered at over 20 venues across the city, including children's centres, primary schools, libraries and community centres. They provide opportunities for you as a parent or carer to find out how children learn and share ideas to support your child’s learning, help with homework and build up your own skills and confidence. Our Keep Up courses lead to adult qualifications in English and maths. These courses are also ideal for people wanting to work in early years education or schools.
All Family Learning courses are free, with free childcare for most daytime courses.
You can download a copy of the current Family Learning course guide from our webpage, www.yorklearning.org.uk

As well as Family Learning, York Learning also provide English and maths courses up to GCSE level, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), computer courses, apprenticeships and many special interest courses detailed in the Learning For Everyone brochure, published twice a year and also available through the York Learning webpage.
