St Peter's School

Clifton, York

Description

St Peter’s School, together with Clifton School & Nursery and St Olave’s School, provides its pupils with a stimulating and varied education from ages 3 to 18.

Clifton School & Nursery caters for children from age 3. An exceptional nursery is the bedrock of the school. From Reception upwards, pupils have access to the School's on-site facilities. Pupils progress to St Olave’s, which offers small classes, unrivalled facilities and a vast array of academic and co-curricular opportunities, at age 8. Specialist subject teaching is introduced in the final three years, giving pupils the best possible preparation for the transition to St Peter’s itself. From 13, pupils at St Peter’s follow a broad curriculum for one year before choosing from an impressive variety of subjects at GCSE and A-level.

Together, the schools provide the ideal environment for pupils to succeed – St Peter’s achieves some of the best results in North Yorkshire, with pupils passing 82% of A-levels at A*/B in 2015, and half of all leavers progressing to further study at Oxbridge or Russell Group universities.
