Description

We are a women’s charity working in a number of ways to help women through the law.

Our vital services aim to provide women with the legal advice and information they need to understand and use the law and their legal rights. We also work to improve the law for women and increase women’s access to justice.

We provide free and confidential legal advice to women on the following advice lines:

- Family law advice line - 020 7251 6577
Tuesday 7pm – 9pm, Wednesday 7pm – 9pm, Thursday 7pm – 9pm, Friday 12pm – 2pm
The line is closed on bank holidays
*domestic violence and abuse
*divorce, finances and property on relationship breakdown
*cohabitation, finances and property on relationship breakdown
*parental responsibility and arrangements for children
*lesbian parenting

- Criminal law advice line - 020 7251 8887
Tuesday 11am-1pm
*sexual offences including rape and sexual assault
*domestic violence, harassment and stalking
*reporting offences to the police and the criminal justice system
*criminal injuries compensation

- Immigration and asylum law advice line

Monday 12pm – 3pm, Thursday 10am – 1pm
*claiming asylum
*the rights of Europeans and their families in the UK
*trafficking
*immigration law including domestic violence, long residence and family life
*financial support options including for women with no recourse to public funds
