Huntington Pre-School

Pre-School Playgroup in Huntington & New Earswick, York

We are a term-time setting with charitable status which is run by a management committee.  We were established by a group of parents in Huntington in 1970 and, since then, have developed strong links with local families, other settings, primary schools and organisations.  The majority of our children make the transition to Huntington Primary Academy, making us the ideal setting for your child to make friendships with children that they will move onto school with.
Your child is at the heart of everything we do, they set our agenda and we provide the resources, support and learning opportunities to enable them to thrive in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.  Our sessions offer activities such as indoor/outdoor play; child and adult led activities; ICT; literacy; mark making; role play; messy play; construction; music; trips and many others.  We are always open to feedback and suggestions from children and families which will enable us to improve the service that we provide.
We run a session from January to July each year specifically for children transferring to school which concentrates on school readiness in more detail.                                                 We currently have some vacancies for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and are taking bookings for September 2019.
