The Toolbox Project

Huntington & New Earswick, York

The ToolBox Project is a fully functional mechanics workshop equipped with a comprehensive range of tools plus a wide variety of project vehicles in order to deliver a varied learning program and maximise learning outcomes. Our bespoke programs, flexible working methods and combined experience of over 30 years in the field will provide a solid foundation for working with hard to reach, NEET, socially excluded, ethnic minorities and disadvantaged young people from ages 10 and over as well as less ‘targeted’ open access youth/community groups and private courses. The project will focus on building team work, self esteem and development of social skills as well as strong basic knowledge on vehicle maintenance, road safety, crime prevention and risky / antisocial behaviour. Full and part time programs will be offered to schools, pupil referral units, youth offending teams, troubled families / intensive family support workers, drug rehab services, police / fire & rescue referrals and youth groups, plus open access evening sessions will be delivered to local community groups and private tuition from those who want to gain a little basic cycle maintenance, to those looking to prepare motorcycles for racing.
