Explore Computers
These FREE one-to-one sessions will introduce you to the basic functions of a computer. You will learn how to use a keyboard and a mouse and will also be introduced to such features as Microsoft Windows, the desktop and the internet browser. These sessions are particularly helpful to those who have never used a computer and would like help with the basics.

Explore the Internet
This FREE five-week course provides a great introduction to using the internet. You will learn about staying safe online, e-mailing, searching the web and using public services online. You’ll also be introduced to various other aspects of using the internet such as online banking, Facebook and NHS services online.

Explore Tablets and e-Readers
These FREE drop-in sessions will give you the chance to try before you buy such mobile devices as iPad, Galaxy, Hudl, Nexus and many more. These are basic, one-off introductory sessions to tablets and their uses. These sessions run at various times. Please contact your local library for more information. Booking is not necessary for these sessions..

Tablets Plus
£10 one-to-one tuition in getting to grips with your tablet device. These sessions run at Explore Acomb Library and Explore Tang Hall Library at various times – please contact one of these libraries to book your place. Booking essential.

Free Computer Usage
We also offer free two-hour per day computer access as well as digital resources such as Ancestry and Newsbank.
