York City Football Club Foundation - City Development Centre

Hull Road, York

City Development training sessions are designed for both boys and girls who want to develop their footballing skills in a non-competitive environment, aged from 7 to 14 years old (unless otherwise stated). Ideal as stand alone training or in addition to playing for a local Junior team. We encourage our development centre players to have fun and make new friends whilst improving their football skills.
The centres focus on developing the whole player, covering all aspects of the game, as well as placing emphasis on fitness and healthy eating. The programme includes: ball control, dribbling and turns, passing techniques, attacking, goal scoring principles and defending, plus the opportunity to put new skills into practice with small-sided games.
Our most talented players may be recommended to York City Centre of Excellence or North Yorkshire Girls Centre of Excellence, or invited to attend our Elite Development Centres.
Development sessions are fully supervised by our FA qualified and CRB checked coaches. Advanced booking is preferred to guarantee a place.
We have two sessions, one being mixed which is City Juniors aged 7-12 which is 9am-10am on Saturday Mornings at York Sport Village, Lakeside Way, YO10 5FG. The second session is called City Wildcatss (Girls Only), this is aged 5-11 and between 10am-11am, this is also at York Sport Village, Lakeside Way, YO10 5FG.
