Family Line

Frustrated? Upset? Stressed? FamilyLine has been delivering 1 to 1 emotional support from trained volunteers in a safe, non-judgemental environment for 20 years. Our free, confidential telephone helpline ensures you are able to focus on accessing the support you need. Callers are often experiencing very serious and complex problems affecting their own well-being and the state of other family members too, ranging from divorce and family break-up to issues of depression, isolation, fear and abuse. Our helpline will empathise with and encourage you to understand your problems, exploring how you are being affected by them and how you want to see the situation improve. We have a local and national database of organisations to support you with your next steps.
All our Helpline Volunteers are selected and professionally trained to a high standard. They will listen to you with real empathy, while working with you to explore your problems.
Our Helpline Volunteers all receive on-going training to help them to understand the worries and concerns of every family member, whatever their age or sex.
