York Timebank At Tang Hall Community Centre

Heworth, York

A Timebank is a way for you to get involved in your community through exchanging skills & knowledge and be rewarded for it – in time credits.

Everyone’s time is valued equally. For every hour you give helping someone, you receive one time credit.

You can ‘spend’ your time credits when you need help from someone else. Time credits are banked on a computer for you to send when you need, or spend with partner organisations like Energise leisure activities (Acomb) or give them to someone else.

Everyone and anyone can join, as everybody has something to offer.

Exchanges between members, or members taking part in community projects takes place at various times, days and places.

Joining York Timebank is free. Receiving help or helping someone is free. The only costs may be travelling to or from locations.

Join the group closest to you - Acomb based or our new group in Tang Hall. These serve the surrounding areas to help link people within their communities.
