Different Strokes

We are a peer-peer support & exercise group for Younger and Active Stroke Survivors in the York Area
We offer a friendly and informal group environment for stroke survivors, partners/carers and friends to share experiences, problems, information and advice.
Every week we also aim to undertake 30-45 minutes of stroke-related exercise/therapy
Social events, pub lunches, trips etc. are organised throughout the year.
Our members have all suffered a Stroke or TIA and have varying levels of disability or other problems as a result
Session charge covers hall hire and refreshments
The centre is fully accessible with off-street Parking. There is a bus stop outside on the No.11 First York bus route (ask the driver for Ashley Park Bridge)
Our meetings are open to all, there is no need to book, but if you would like more information please contact us
