Children are involved in planning their own curriculum, and we work on themes and interests which they share with us. Our curriculum is supported by visitors to our setting – vets, police, fire engine, and district nurse to name a few, and also visits beyond the setting – locally or further afield!
Children make fantastic progress in our setting – last year making an average of 10 months progress within the Autumn term!
We use the Read Write Inc. scheme to support the development of reading and writing for Reception aged children, and this has proved extremely successful – our children are confident and independent writers, and they love a good story.
